Renee Workman is a 35-year-old, G2PO African American client who is at 37 weeks gestation. This pregnancy was conceived by in-vitro fertilization. Renee denies a history of any chronic medical conditions. The pregnancy has been unremarkable until 1 week ago when Renee’s blood pressure was noted to be elevated at a scheduled office visit. A return visit, several days later, confirmed persistent hypertension. There was a mild increase in the liver function lab results noted.
